Colour - Thesis - MA Diploma project

Colour-thesis:

Colour-Thesis is my diploma collection. It is built on the research of colours. I observed their nature and their effects on a fabric, a pattern and clothes. I was inspired by Johannes Itten’s colour studies and I followed the author's steps during the design process. I wanted to make a collection based on the three basic colours: red, yellow and blue. I chose knitting as a technique, and with the help of my knitted structures, I mixed colours and created new shades. I worked with monochromatic fabrics/structures to see how one colour can be changed by the surface, the lights and the shadows. I aimed to create a colour gradient with my clothes and to prove that my three colours are enough to make as many variations of patterns and shades as I can.
